Description
A comforting pasta dish featuring ground beef enveloped in a creamy three-cheese sauce with Cajun spices.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant (3-5 minutes).
- Push the aromatics to one side and add ground beef, seasoning generously with Cajun spice. Cook until browned, breaking it up as you go.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Bring to a gentle simmer to create a creamy sauce.
- Lower the heat and gradually incorporate Parmesan, then cheddar, and finally mozzarella. Stir until melted.
- Meanwhile, boil water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Toss the drained spaghetti into the sauce and mix until coated. If too thick, stir in reserved pasta water.
- Serve garnished with chopped fresh herbs.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a plant-based cream. Adapt the recipe with different proteins if desired.
