  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant (3-5 minutes).
  2. Push the aromatics to one side and add ground beef, seasoning generously with Cajun spice. Cook until browned, breaking it up as you go.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Bring to a gentle simmer to create a creamy sauce.
  4. Lower the heat and gradually incorporate Parmesan, then cheddar, and finally mozzarella. Stir until melted.
  5. Meanwhile, boil water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.
  6. Toss the drained spaghetti into the sauce and mix until coated. If too thick, stir in reserved pasta water.
  7. Serve garnished with chopped fresh herbs.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a plant-based cream. Adapt the recipe with different proteins if desired.
