Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Optional: chocolate chips, nuts, or caramel

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time. Add flour and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour the brownie mixture into a greased springform pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, then sour cream, vanilla, and eggs one at a time, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the brownie layer.
  7. Bake for another 30–35 minutes until the edges are set but the center jiggles slightly.
  8. Cool on the countertop, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Serve chilled with optional toppings.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute butter with coconut oil and cream cheese with cashew-based cream cheese.
