- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Optional: chocolate chips, nuts, or caramel
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk in eggs one at a time. Add flour and mix until just combined.
- Pour the brownie mixture into a greased springform pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, then sour cream, vanilla, and eggs one at a time, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the brownie layer.
- Bake for another 30–35 minutes until the edges are set but the center jiggles slightly.
- Cool on the countertop, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Serve chilled with optional toppings.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute butter with coconut oil and cream cheese with cashew-based cream cheese.
