Instructions

  1. Brown the Butter: Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, swirling until it turns golden brown and nutty.
  2. Cool the Butter: Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  4. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch; add to wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Add Chocolate and Pecans: Fold in chocolate chunks, toasted pecans, and bourbon.
  6. Chill the Dough: Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
  8. Scoop and Bake: Scoop dough onto sheets, bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set and centers are slightly underbaked.

Notes
