Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Fold in the black sesame seeds, reserving a tablespoon for topping.
  7. Pour batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle with reserved black sesame seeds, and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  8. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
