- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup black sesame flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup milk (whole or nut milk)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, black sesame flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and maple syrup until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with powdered sugar or alongside whipped cream or ice cream. Pairs beautifully with tea or coffee.
