  • 1/2 cup black sesame flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or nut milk)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, black sesame flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and maple syrup until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
