Description

A delightful dish combining tender beef and juicy pineapple, enhanced by freshly cracked black pepper for a perfect balance of savory and sweet.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 tbsp black peppercorns, cracked
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced (sweet or green onions)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (grapeseed or canola)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in soy sauce, minced garlic, and half of the cracked black pepper for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Prepare pineapple by cutting it into bite-sized chunks.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
  4. Cook the marinated beef in batches until browned (2-3 minutes) and set aside.
  5. Sauté minced garlic, ginger, and onions in the same skillet until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
  6. Add pineapple pieces and sauté until caramelized (2-3 minutes).
  7. Return the beef to the skillet, mix with pineapple and aromatics. Stir-fry for another minute.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve hot.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan during cooking for better caramelization. Fresh ingredients enhance flavor significantly.
