Description
A comforting dish featuring flavorful twirls of pasta coated in a rich garlic and black pepper sauce with Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Pasta Twirls (fusilli or rotini)
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1–2 tbsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add your pasta twirls and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and a splash of olive oil. Once bubbling, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant—about 30 seconds.
- Gradually stir in freshly ground black pepper, adjusting to your desired spice level.
- Toss in the drained pasta twirls and mix well, ensuring the black pepper and garlic coat every piece.
- Gradually sprinkle in grated Parmesan while adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to emulsify the sauce.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional black pepper and extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast. Feel free to use gluten-free pasta or zoodles for a lighter twist.
