Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently.
- Fold in the cherries and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop mounds of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges look firm but the centers remain soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
