- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
- Zest of 1 orange
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-4 minutes.
- Gradually add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the fresh orange zest, followed by the dry ingredients – flour and baking powder.
- Fold in the cranberries gently, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden but still soft in the center.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra festive touch, sprinkle with powdered sugar after they’ve cooled.
