- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract and freshly squeezed orange juice. Stir in the orange zest.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped cranberries gently.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about two inches apart.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
