- 1 Beef Tenderloin
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, parsley)
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Broth or red wine for deglazing
Instructions
- Bring the beef to room temperature by removing it from the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Pat the beef dry and rub it with olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and chopped herbs.
- Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the tenderloin for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and transfer the skillet to the oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes for medium-rare.
- Let the beef rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Slice into medallions and serve with side dishes like garlic sautéed mushrooms.
Notes
Allow the meat to rest before cooking and use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Pair with garlic mushrooms or creamy mashed potatoes.
