Delightful banana truffles combining the sweetness of ripe bananas with rich dark chocolate for a creamy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth.
  3. Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and sea salt, stirring until well mixed.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 60 minutes.
  5. Once firm, shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in size).
  6. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or finely chopped nuts.
  7. Refrigerate the coated truffles for another 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Use fully ripe bananas for the best flavor. Melt chocolate slowly to achieve a smooth texture.
