  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar (or maple syrup/agave)
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth (about 1.5 to 2 cups).
  3. Melt the dark chocolate with the unsalted butter in a double boiler or microwave until just melted.
  4. Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the mashed bananas; beat in the sugar and eggs until well combined.
  5. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan and pour the mixture in evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or heavy cream.
