Description
Delightful muffins infused with crushed Oreos and buttery goodness, bringing comfort and nostalgia.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Whisk in the eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Fold in the crushed Oreos and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Spoon the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full. Don’t forget to sprinkle a few extra Oreo crumbs on top for added crunch!
- Place in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate glaze or sprinkle crushed cookies on top after they cool.
Notes
For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature and avoid overmixing the batter.
