Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Bartlett)
  • 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the pears in half lengthwise and remove the cores.
  3. Arrange the pear halves cut side up in a baking dish and drizzle with honey.
  4. Crumble goat cheese into each pear half, distributing evenly.
  5. Scatter dried cranberries around and on top of the pears.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts over the dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until pears are fork-tender and cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool for a minute before serving. Drizzle with more honey if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add a splash of orange juice for extra flavor, or substitute goat cheese with feta or ricotta.
