Description
A delicious blend of spicy and sweet flavors, this dish features juicy chicken thighs marinated in gochujang and cooked to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup gochujang
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of oil. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet after flipping the chicken to create a thick sauce.
- Let the chicken rest, slice, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor. Serve with jasmine rice and sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
