  • 1 cup fresh apple cider
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition before gradually stirring in the apple cider.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough onto a prepped baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are firm and centers are still soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  9. For a special touch, sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top right before baking.
