Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup fresh apple cider
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or oats
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition before gradually stirring in the apple cider.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough onto a prepped baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are firm and centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- For a special touch, sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top right before baking.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the dough, and ensure the butter is at room temperature for the best texture.
