Description
A rich and creamy dessert that combines peanut butter and cream cheese in a buttery crust, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 graham cracker crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Milk (as needed for consistency)
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Optional: Chopped peanuts or chocolate chips (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: If using a store-bought crust, set it aside. For homemade, crush 1 ½ cups of graham crackers and mix with ½ cup melted butter and ¼ cup sugar. Press into a 9-inch pie pan and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
- Make the filling: In a large bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and creamy peanut butter until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Add milk as needed for a smooth, spreadable texture.
- Fill the crust: Spoon the peanut butter filling into the cooled crust and smooth it out evenly. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped peanuts or chocolate chips.
- Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Serve: Top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder or crushed peanuts just before serving.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. For a richer flavor, consider using fresh ground peanut butter.
