Description

A delicious and nutritious almond flour pizza that is gluten-free and perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Tomato sauce (for topping)
  • Mozzarella cheese (for topping)
  • Vegetables and proteins of choice (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and olive oil, then combine with dry ingredients to form a dough.
  4. Place parchment paper on a pizza stone or baking sheet and spread the dough into a circular shape, about ½-inch thick.
  5. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and firm.
  6. Add toppings: spread a thin layer of tomato sauce, cheese, and desired vegetables or proteins.
  7. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and edges are crisp.
  8. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For substitutions, use coconut flour with almond flour for a different nutty flavor. Goat cheese can replace mozzarella, or opt for dairy-free cheese for a vegan version.
