- 1 lb fresh lump crab meat
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add linguine and cook according to package instructions, typically around 10-12 minutes, until al dente.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Fold in fresh crab meat, warming for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring to combine; let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Once pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain linguine and toss into the skillet with the crab sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
- Toss everything together to combine well. Garnish with fresh herbs and additional lemon juice before serving.
