Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
  2. Sauté the garlic in a medium saucepan with olive oil or butter over medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add turmeric and stir for a few seconds to release its flavors.
  4. Combine the rinsed rice with the garlic and turmeric mixture, then pour in water or broth and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and let sit covered for 5 minutes before serving.
