Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the turmeric and let it toast slightly for about 15 seconds.
- Combine the rinsed rice with the garlic-turmeric mix in the skillet.
- Pour in vegetable broth (or water), seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve after letting sit for 5 minutes.
