Description
A unique twist on classic Rice Krispie treats infused with the rich flavor of Thai tea, delivering joy in every crunchy, creamy bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Thai tea
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- Honey or sugar, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Thai Tea: Start by steeping 2 tablespoons of Thai tea in about 1 cup of boiling water for about 10 minutes. Strain the leaves from the liquid and set aside to cool slightly.
- Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over low heat. Add in 4 cups of mini marshmallows, stirring gently until completely melted and smooth.
- Blend in Thai Tea: Pour the cooled Thai tea into the pot, along with the sweetened condensed milk. Stir until well combined.
- Add Rice Krispies: Slowly fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies. Stir gently to ensure everything is combined without crushing the crispy texture.
- Transfer and Set: Once mixed, pour the sticky mixture into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Use a spatula to press it down evenly.
- Cool and Cut: Allow the treats to cool for about 30 minutes. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For a dairy-free option, try using coconut oil instead of butter and a dairy-free version of marshmallows.
